Technology Award & Award of Engineering Excellence

Purpose

Recognizes a Chapter CTTC Chair who excels in meeting goals of the CTT Committee

Recognizes excellence in Chapter Program endeavors

Recognizes exceptional performance by a chapter in planning activities and providing technology transfer to state, provincial and/or local governments on technical issues

Recognizes outstanding achievement in energy management and energy conservation design. Chapters may develop their own criteria.

One first place winner may also receive the ASHRAE Award of Engineering Excellence.

 Regions are encouraged to use Society criteria. Only first-place regional winners move to Society Competition.

Make-up of Selection Committee/

Judging Panel

Minimum 3 judges selected by CTTC Chair

1 judge must be GA member

 At least 1 judge must chapter officer experience

No current RVC shall be judge

CTTC Chair appoints  Selection Committee

Comprised of 3 members of CTTC; Ex-O from BOD and CTTC Chair serve as Ex-O to Selection Committee

Minimum 3 judges selected by CTTC

 1 judge must have experience as chapter officer with chapter GA involvement

CTTC selects Judging Panel Chair by July 1

 By July 15 Judging Panel Chair selects minimum of 7 judges plus 3-4 alternates  using regional rotation schedule

 3-4  judges selected from previous year’s list, 2 judges from EHC and Refrigeration
